Canyonlands National Park, located southwest of Arches National Park, was described by Edward Abbey as, “the most weird, wonderful, magical place on earth—there is nothing else like it anywhere.” Created from both the Green River and the Colorado River, Canyonlands National Park is divided into distinct sections; the Island in the Sky, the Needles, the Maze and the Rivers. Each with their own unique characteristics.
