POTW – The Moose of the Kawuneeche Valley

We drove into Rocky Mountain Rocky Mountain National Park this past Saturday. Moose were roaming through out the Kawuneeche Valley. We were fortunate enough to be able to view three bull moose in the lower valley foraging on the abundant vegetation. We spotted two more in the upper valley. The willows are coming into full bloom and they will soon provide an additional source of nutrients as spring moves into summer. We are grateful to see this magnificent creature flourishing on the western slopes of Rocky Mountain National Park.
