They say sometimes it’s better to lucky than good, this happened to be one of those fortuitous moments in time when we captured a glimpse of the Poudre Lake Moose. We just returned from hiking along the Cache la Poudre River Trail and were traversing along the backside of Poudre Lake when we observed a mass of people moving towards us as we returned to Milner Pass. Turning about we realized a large bull moose was quickly becoming the center of attention. I retrieved my camera and made my way back to the trail to capture this moment in time. The Poudre Lake Moose is one of the most stunning moose I/we have witnessed. Stella and I are fortunate to be able to spend a significant amount time inside Rocky Mountain National Park but we never take for granted our appreciativeness to view these magnificent creatures in the natural habitat.
